Gidleigh Park is the perfect base for dog-lovers who wish to explore the wealth of trails across East Dartmoor, our grounds alone include 107 acres of mature forest and gardens.

A walk amid the ancient coppiced woodland of ash, birch, oak and beech is an ideal way to unwind after your journey and the high moor can be tackled by the more adventurous.

Dogs are most welcome on Dartmoor, but within the national park there are many farms and important habitats for wildlife, so remember to keep your dog on a lead on farmland or in open areas.

Please note if your dog is staying in the hotel with you there will be a charge of £10 per night, the use of our heated dog kennels is complimentary.
