The National Park is a haven for wildlife, with ponies darting between the tors, dunlin and golden plover nesting on the high moors, and colourful butterflies floating amongst the wild flowers. If you’re very lucky, you may glimpse an otter peering out of a quiet stream.

In contrast to the dramatic scenery, Dartmoor also features idyllic towns and villages, with enticing shops, farmers’ markets, art galleries and boutiques. Fascinating places to visit include prehistoric stone circles, beautiful gardens and atmospheric abbeys.

Whether you love walking, riding, cycling, fishing or simply enjoying unique and spectacular scenery, the area is sure to inspire you.
