Dartmoor is a walker's paradise, offering a huge variety of trails that cater for all abilities; discover this magical landscape on foot and observe the wildlife and natural vegetation that are at home here.
Located near the Pavilion within the grounds, croquet is available to all our guests. The equipment can be found at the Pavilion. If you need any assistance or help with the rules, our Reception team will be happy to help.
Seasonally, the River Teign is packed with wild brown trout, sea trout and salmon, offering some of the finest fishing in the South West. At Gidleigh Park, a fishing licence can be obtained in the village of Chagford for certain local areas.
For the more experienced, we can point in the right direction of some perfect spots along the river. Please speak with our Reception team who will be happy to advise.
At Gidleigh Park, we are delighted to welcome well-behaved dogs. Our four heated kennels ensure a cosy and comfortable stay or choose between two dog-friendly rooms as well as the Pavilion, a self-contained cottage in the grounds overlooking the croquet lawn.
With 107 acres of mature grounds and the rolling moors beyond, there is plenty to explore with your canine companion.
