Your magical family adventure begins at our beautiful Dartmoor retreat. This is why we love Gidleigh Park. Our family days here are spent enjoying picnics by the river, roaming the moor and playing garden games. Your family become our family – everyone’s welcome.
Our passion for the simple things in life inspire us to create special family experiences.
Our beautiful gardens play host to our passionate beliefs in the simple pleasures of family, friends and fun.
Sitting in 107 acres on the northern bank of the North Teign River in Dartmoor National Park, our gardens and woodland at Gidleigh Park entertain outdoor playfulness and an attachment to nature. Our grounds open up nature hunts with exciting finds and new discoveries and there are walks a plenty in the local area.
Play tennis, croquet and have a go at putting in the gardens at Gidleigh. Find our yoga mats and introduce the family to the ‘downward dog’ and the ‘cobra’ in a tranquil spot in our gardens. Our yoga guides give a helping hand.
Our Garden Menu for our V.I.L.P (very important little people) is available all day every day. Children are welcome in the restaurant until 8.00pm, with last orders being placed by 7.00pm.
Our V.I.L.P can have their own special picnic hamper whenever they choose. We do “grown-up” picnic hampers too so the whole family can enjoy the experience together in our beautiful outdoor spaces, in private areas within our hotel or in the comfort of your own room. All we ask is that you pre-order any hampers with a member of our team.
Our comfortable family rooms, suites and cottage ensure everyone has a good night’s sleep. Choose from interconnecting spaces, twin beds and living rooms with sofa beds.
