Dogs are more than welcome at Gidleigh Park and with 107 acres of grounds to explore and Dartmoor on our doorstep, it's the perfect place for man's best friend.
We have four heated kennels that are available for use at no extra charge.
There is a £20 per night, per dog charge to stay in one of these rooms with you and includes; basket, blanket, towel, water & food bowls, biscuits, balls, torch and poop waste bags.
Whilst we ask that dogs do not come into the main house, they are most welcome in the 107 acres of the grounds and on the terraces. During the spring months there are lambs and nesting birds in the woods and fields around the hotel and we therefore ask that dogs are kept under control or on a lead in these areas.
We ask that dogs are not left unattended in rooms for long periods of time. We reserve the right to charge your account in accordance with the cost of any damage/repair to furniture and for deep cleaning as a result of damage or dog litter in the room.
Guests are responsible for all property damages and/or personal injuries resulting from their dog. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their dog on the hotel property. Disturbances such as barking must be curtailed to ensure other guests are not inconvenienced.
It's no coincidence that at Gidleigh Park we offer a boot room for guest use, wellingtons and stout walking boots are almost compulsory attire for many of our guests.
Dartmoor is a walker's paradise, offering a huge variety of trails that cater for all abilities, and discovering this magical landscape on foot affords the opportunity to observe the wildlife and natural vegetation that are at home here.
