Dogs are more than welcome at Gidleigh Park and with 107 acres of grounds to explore and Dartmoor on our doorstep, it's the perfect place for man's best friend.
We have four heated kennels that are available for use.
We have designated rooms that are available to book for guests that wish to bring their dog, these are: Lydford (a Deluxe Garden View Room), Bellever (a Master Room) as well as The Pavilion which is a self-contained cottage in the grounds overlooking the croquet lawn.
Please call us to make arrangements if you wish to book a room that accommodates you and your dog. There is a £20 per dog, per night charge which includes a dog bed and water bowl.
We have beautiful grounds and local walks for you and your dog to enjoy, they unfortunately can’t have full hotel access to public areas, and they won’t be able to join you in the main house.
We request that dogs are kept on a lead when in public spaces and that you utilise the dog bins provided when required. We ask that if you leave your dog in your room unattended (only for a little while please) that you advise reception so that any of our team who need to service your room or make deliveries to it are aware. We don’t unfortunately have appropriate facilities for giant breeds.
Guide dogs and accredited assistance dogs are welcome throughout our hotel.
It's no coincidence that at Gidleigh Park we offer a boot room for guest use, wellingtons and stout walking boots are almost compulsory attire for many of our guests.
Dartmoor is a walker's paradise, offering a huge variety of trails that cater for all abilities, and discovering this magical landscape on foot affords the opportunity to observe the wildlife and natural vegetation that are at home here.
